Deadlines for Abstract Submission
We encourage preparation of proposals for symposia and abstracts for paper and poster sessions.
Preliminary abstracts for symposia and workshops should be submitted to Karen Bales, Program Committee Chair, by December 15, 2014 (klbales@ucdavis.edu).
Abstract submission will open on December 1, 2014 through the Members section. Final abstracts for symposia, workshops, oral presentations, and poster presentations are due February 1, 2015.

Bend offers lots of restaurants, pubs and coffee shops, and shopping. It is also The Microbrewery Capital of the United States with the Bend Ale Trail, the largest beer trail in the West.

The city is located at about 3,000 feet above sea level in the Central Oregon High Desert on the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. Bend is paradise for outdoors lovers in every season. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to snowboard or ski in that time of the year at Mt. Bachelor, but we can do plenty of paddling, rafting, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming (in rivers and lakes), and biking along tons of bike trails. Pilot Butte extinct volcano, old cinder cone, is a State Park inside the city and once on the top you can have a wonderful view of the dormant volcanoes Mt. Bachelor, Broken Top,Three Sisters, Mt. Jefferson, Mt. Washington, and Mt. Hood. Within a couple of hours drive you can also find Smith Rock State Park, Mt. Bachelor and the Cascades Highway, Newberry National Volcanic Monument, Crater Lake, the Painted Hills. Some of these things can be done during the meeting’s breaks or if you decide to take some vacationing time before and/or after the meeting.
